This and convenience I think. Why go somewhere in the Bahamas when he can have his daughter at a US hospital and he can sleep in his bed at his home in Jupiter?

Also it could be simply timing. For all we know, he may have called a medical chopper and none been available at the moment. So his personal was faster.
