Well, by all means then oh wise one, please tell us how Wade giving up his bonuses “proves” he did something wrong. Not implies he did, or insinuates he did; but proves he did.

All it proves is that technically he was not on the bench coaching when the team won the SEC, made the NCAA, or played in the tournament 2nd round. So by that virtue, he was right to give back the bonuses. If I were arguing on his behalf, I would have said that he should have received the SEC championship bonus, b/c that was already secured prior to his suspension; but whatever, the point still stands that the fact he relinquished the bonuses does not prove he was admitting to LSU that he did anything wrong.

His contract states that he is entitled to any and all bonuses if suspension is lifted. Go read it. I have.

The bonus wasn’t given back as Lester alleges it just wasn’t paid to Wade and was a good faith gesture as part of the deal with the NCAA not to smear Wade any further. He also didn’t coach the games some of the bonuses represented so an argument could be made he didn’t earn them.
