I can't remember a time where he wasn't our coach. He's been the head man for 25 years. He stuck around when he could have left because he cared about being close to his family and he loved his community. A lot of coaches preach "family and community" but Coach Robe lived it. He was always someone you could be proud of because you know he was doing everything the right way. All of his players love him, all of the fans love him, and everybody in Acadiana should love him. He enriched our community and helped so many young boys become men. I'm so thankful for everything he did and extremely heartbroken for his family. The world lost one of the truly great ones. Rest in peace, Coach.

All of this. Loved going to his camps when I was younger. Baseball was the conduit in which he used to teach boys how to become good men. Very sad day.
