Why is an achilles injury not as devastating in soccer as other sports?

I wasn't aware that it wasn't .

Maybe it's a longer recovery if you're 6'9" 240 lbs.

It's obviously awful in every sport, but the way it's talked about in the soccer community seems to be less damning.

It’s always been regarded as a death sentence in 95% of cases that I can recall in most sports.

I think age plays a decent part, CHO is young, and as long as he works his arse off in rehab I think he can come back from it.

The only Achilles injury I can recall by a big time soccer player was Benteke when he was still at Villa. It basically did ruin his career.
