And see, I’d gladly overpay him for maybe two years(that way he comes off the books in the next big FA class and gives you a safety valve if Ingram doesn’t fit and commands too high of a contract to retain next offseason), but I suspect he is wise enough to know this is the time to get some team to overpay and do so for 3-4 years, maybe even with a player option.
