there is a pretty large gap b/w "good" and "stud"

RJ going to NY also may lead him to morphing into a chucker like Carmelo so that's really bad for his development

RJ can't shoot that well

RJ has 1 hand, so he can't dribble that well

he's not a great athlete. he's solid but not very explosive

he LOOKS like he's supposed to be a great player but his output at Duke did not match "stud" expectations. i just don't see why people think he projects as a great player in the NBA. it's possible, for sure, but he has "chucker on a bad team" written all over him

RJ's non-existent right hand game is disturbing.

Austin Rivers showed us how easy it was to defend him when always drove the ball always to one-side (or even if he drove it to the other side, the defenders knew to guard only his dominant hand.) Not good, if driving is supposed to be your go-to, while waiting for your outside shot to develop/transition to NBA range.

If I'm a Knick fan, I'd be worried. If he hadn't developed an off-hand game by now, it'll never develop. So glad he is not a Pel.
