Home with brother and parents.
Sometimes my grandparents were in town.
Birthday parties were not a production with themes, venues, etc. just a cake after supper, some cash from relatives and a few presents from nuclear family.
Simpler times.
My kids birthdays were productions. I’m not sure what changed in a generation.
