No, it's not like that at all.
I'm not defending the dad bod. I dont have one, I'm in good shape, but I'm not a workout warrior. Men like you're describing are often closeted homosexuals and spend more time worrying about their own appearance than they do giving attention to a wife or gf.
Women in general dont view the men you're describing the way you think they do. Quit watching TV.

Wrong on so many levels.
I workout 45 min, 3-4 days a week. That's it.
Definitely not gay either.
And women love it and openly say so, especially in bed.
