Any scope gets sterilized but the devil is in the details. There are plenty of breaches to go around.

I may have misread but it seems that he was reusing the guidewires that are single use and disposable. That's just being a nasty, cheap, sorry mf'er.
I do realize that he could have not been cleaning the scope correctly and there have been reports of microscopic tears in the bendable sheathing.
