There’s so much parity in college baseball these days, yet he’s still held to the same standard as Skip.

No he's not held to the same standard as Skip. He's being left behind by Arkansas, MSU, UF, Vandy...All programs that have had more success than PM's LSU Tigers over the last 10 years. We don't expect him to be Skip Bertman but WE do expect LSU to be the premier program in the SEC!

In the postseason, when it matters, he put his guys in a situation to win.

You can NOT be serious. He made 2 nonsensical pitching decisions that were directly responsible for the 2L's in the Super. #1 calling in Vietmeir giving up an unbelievable .396 to lefties to face FSU's 3 top hitters two of them being lefties with power. #2 Letting Fontenot pitch to Drew Mendoza with 1st base open! NO SIR! PM set both of those kids up for failure!

The players have to take some responsibility, Mainieri didn’t make those 4 base running errors this weekend. Mainieri didn’t drop the ball at the plate.

Mainieri recruited and developed these players. It's his job to have them prepared physically and MENTALLY for the big stage. What we saw against FSU was NOT an anomaly, 2009 was an anomaly, this year was typical of the other PM team's I've watched choke over the last 12 years.
