One thing Obama said in his 8 years in office that I agreed with.
Everyone should have skin in the game.
When you have that many people NOT paying income taxes, they don't give a shite about tax policy.
Everyone should pay at least $100/month in income taxes and no refundable credits. No one should make money filing their taxes.
Oh, and withholding should be illegal. People should have to write a physical check (or debit payment) to the g every fricking month.
