I am looking to buy one for my dad. The box shows the unit has a split screen between chart and DI. However, when I went to the store and played with one that view was not an option. Can anyone confirm that this view exist on the helix 5?

Following as well. Don't want to hijack but I'm looking at this unit, the helix 7 or the lowrance elite 7. And the garmin.

I really just want the chart, depth, etc but trying to figure out which one I like best.

Home river is the amite. But I have hauled all over SELA and to toledo bend a few times. Nothing much west of lafayette.

DI, SI and mapping are better in birds. 2d is better on lowrance.

Apparently the unit at the store has issues. That view is available on the helix 5 g2.
