I’m not so sure. My daughter purchased a $205000 condo in NOVA at age 28 with no help from mom or dad. We’re a high cost of living area so I’d think there are a whole lot of place in America where $150k can get someone a property to start with.

I've lived in Gulfport, MS and now in the Springfield, MO area and $150K will get you a newer 3 bed 2 bath 1500 sq ft house in a good neighborhood in both places. What more can you ask for in a first house?
