It is odd to wish dead people a happy birthday, isn’t it? It’s probably not actually a special occasion to them.
And it seems like just about anyone of note gets these wishes. Hey, Isaac Newton, you’ve been dead for 292 years but enjoy your special day in your coffin, buddy!

Point well taken. It is kind of silly if you think about it, but it gives the living something to celebrate about someone famous or special to them.
My mom has been deceased for 15 years, yet I always celebrate her birthday.

She is way overrated in my opinion. Kind of like Angelina Jolie. Neither one really makes my motor run.

eh, nothing special to me. Just another street prostitute IMO. Jayne Mansfield and Janet Leigh were much hotter broads from that era.
