Sounds like propaganda/inflated math by an institution with a vested interest in making people think spending $44k on a wedding is the norm. Simple math/economics should tell you that people aren't spending an average of $44k on their weddings. Sure there are a lot of people that are spending that and more, but there are countless people that are doing simple church/home wedding/reception, going to the courthouse for a few bucks, etc. I wonder if this "study" even accounts for those at all?
