I've always wondered why an outfielder wouldn't bobble the ball for several steps while getting closer to the infield so the throw is shorter and has a better chance of throwing the runner out. Hell, you could bobble it all the way back to the pitcher

I understand that different ages require different modifications to the rules, But the 6 year olds in Kenner and in JPRD and at Carollton, etc, should all have the same basic rules.
Yes, it's frustrating. But it's also why I made sure to have a ground rules conference before every game to make sure I understood all those little rule differences.
