Actually don’t disagree with any of this. Those numbers being considered terrible is laughable.

But he literally stopped trying on defense, lost way too many games to teams like the knicks and suns when the lakers were pushing for the playoffs, and just overall seemed disinterested and not playing at the same level. Speaking non-statistically, he had a terrible year. And the lakers suffered for it.

If those things change next year and he’s back at that same level statistically, he’ll be rejoin the conversation.
