Agreed. There is never a scenario where it's beneficial to have talented depth at a position, or so much talent that even your three or four deep defensive backfield is made up of quality players.
Losing two players who saw any playing time in an offseason is something to be happy about not miserable.
Only two players of six who are leaving saw the field at all last year. That is good. And they are not juniors or seniors that have been with the team 3 or 4 years.
LSU retaining EVERY DRAFT ELIGIBLE JUNIOR except for Greedy and Ed Alexander was the big win for LSU this offseason. It more than overcomes two freshmen (of which only one played) to transfer.
You continue crying about the 2018 recruiting class.
I will just keep laughing at you while I continue to smile about the players/starters from the 2018 class, the fact that only two eligible players declared for the draft this year, the bad-arse 2019 class that is already on campus or showing up and the #2 class in the nation for 2020 as of right now with the potential for even MORE exceptional players from all over the country.

Let's also not forget that Lewis and Traore were upper class players who are Seniors this season and have no possibility of contributing in 2020 or 2021.
Yeah college football is like that. Don't cry about them leaving be happy they were here.

If these guys are starting or playing a lot, what does that say about the incoming talent?
They are the incoming talent are they not? It says they are very good football players. They will probably re-show the spring game in case you missed Stingley and Ika.

Then why do all 3 of your posts in here read like you are very unhappy?
Edit: You forgot Devin White. Although to be fair if White came back I’d have to wonder if he would be making the decision that is in his best interests.

I don't understand this, it's a good thing to lose players who saw playing time?

None of these have anything whatsoever to do with the 2018 class. Based on your reasoning, you have to be happy with each class simply because they existed.

Well in the larger context of recruiting and contribution, two players who play two years is not as good as a 3-4 year contributor and just above you were talking about how crucial it was to keep guys around for their third and fourth years rather than entering the draft.

Again, this has nothing whatsoever to do with the 2018 class, but even if it did, should we all be happy if one of O's entire classes was passed up by a subsequent class?

Ree I think you’re missing the point. No one is worried about the 2018 class affecting the 2019 season. People are worried that we will have a lack of depth and a young team in 2020 and 2021.
Basically what should be the junior or senior class will be almost nonexistent.

This is so retarded.
