DC Comics sends cease-&-desist letter over Ocasio-Cortez Wonder Woman comic cover

...
Which is exactly why DC sent a cease and desist letter recently regarding a depiction of freshman Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
AOC, as she is popularly initialized, is to her fans, and seemingly in her own eyes, a social media Wunderkind. But that, too, doesn't make her Wonder Woman, an image that is the property of the comic company. Which makes it a strange choice that the makers of the AOC comic book -- and yes, that is sadly a real thing--depicted her as the DC star on a cover of their comic.
Devils Due Comics produced "Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez & The Freedom Force: New Party, Who Dis?" and with that publication, the first in a series the publisher said, produced a number of variant covers. And a picture of the congresswoman as Wonder Woman, draped in the flag, in a classic pose.
By the way, it's not just AOC. They also have a Bernie Sanders comic. He's He-Man on that cover. No, seriously.

Good luck to DC.

That's a good idea. I'd like to see that IRL.

Unlike Marvel, DC hasn't gone full SJW yet.

We are dealing with grownups that think on a barely adolescent level ... we know that right?
This is why libtards want to lower the voting age down to 16.

I wouldn't say that. Take a look at the new Batwoman trailer.

Batwoman has ALWAYS been a lesbian though.
Apparently her fling with Dick Grayson went so badly it turned her gay.

Isn’t Green Lantern gay now?
Posted on 5/18/19 at 9:57 pm to TheFolker
No he’s not. He’s banging out Blake Lively.

Oh, I didn't mean the lesbian aspect of it, I have no issues with that. I meant the "rah rah girl power" stuff that's shoehorned in it.

Different Green Lantern.
Kyle Rayner and Alan Scott have always been...iffy.
