Memphis has a bigger basketball fan base than LSU by a lot. Bigger crowds.
History is just as if not more impressive for Memphis too.

None of that means it’s not a little suspicious though huh? A program that hasn’t been relevant in a decade getting these kids from all over the place?
Isn’t that the exact sentiment that was used to fuel the smear campaign against LSU?
Sure sounds like it to me.
But yea, penny is just a really good recruiter. Nothing else going on. Those kids are all turning down lucrative offers from Arizona and Duke to play for free at Memphis lol

It’s fed ex money. They realized it’s easier to buy a premiere basketball team than it is to do it as a non power 5 in football.
