I am curious if anybody in National media "cough, cough" is looking into how a nobody program like Memphis is getting all these high power recruits to come in and play for a first time NCAA head coach!!!

Of course they aren't paying at Memphis. It's obvious that Penny and Mike Miller are just super cool and hip with the kids these days.

Penny recruited high school kids to East high school from around the nation. He won high school national championships. He was a giant in the AAU scene. Memphis is a basketball school. Penny has close affiliation with Nike. Cheating or not. He would’ve been able to get players. I live in Memphis and he is one beloved SOB

Memphis has a bigger basketball fan base than LSU by a lot. Bigger crowds.

History is just as if not more impressive for Memphis too.

City of Memphis loves basketball

They have had a lot of wins and post seasons taken away too though

Don't be silly.

Penny is famous. NBA star.

Memphis has had a couple of different era teams to NCAA finals. One lost to Walton.
One lost in ot.

Lsu has not.

Come on, man.

Penny hasn’t beaten Kentucky at Kentucky.

The timing wasn’t a coincendence.
