Sheriff departments in Louisiana

Not sure how other states do this sorda thing. How much money is wasted plastering the names of the Sheriff on every car, tent trailers, bearcat and boat? Shouldn't the only thing be on the car is X parish sheriff department.

Lol not from the LP but I noticed all the Louisiana parishes do this same thing. Seems like a big waste of money. I'm sure the sheriff association is trying to find out who I am right now. Sorry for Grammer errors on da phone and got a chili dog

Some sheriffs will use the money from their campaign fund to add their name on these things. But in reality, when youre paying to get a vehicle striped out, it doesn't cost much more to add a name.

But then you have to pay to change it if there is ever a new sheriff.

Sure it's not a great cost, but let's not pretend this is anything other then using government property for political purposes. Which is particularly pernicious given that these are law enforcement officers.
