People act like since he's not in New York City, he won't be on the cover of magazines, appear on TV shows or get endorsements from Nike and Sprite. He's "stuck" in New Orleans, where nobody can watch him on television and he'll be stuck doing Take 5 Oil Change River Parishes Waste Disposal commercials. People like this are so stuck in the past it's not even funny.
Drew Brees is one of the 5-10 most visible players in the NFL and he's on Ellen every other week. Playing in the backwoods hasn't "damaged his brand."

In short, the only way the new, re-weighted draft lottery could have gone wrong would have been if the incompetent Lakers or Knicks or the even more egregious aggressive tankers like Phoenix and Cleveland HAD won the lottery. Not that that can’t happen in future drafts, or that teams won’t keep tanking for a 14 percent chance at the top pick rather than 25 percent. Still, it worked this time, and had it not, an argument could be made that such a prize would never have been less earned, or been presented to less qualified people. New Orleans may not have gotten what it deserved, but they come a hell of closer than their alleged peers.

Ive seen maybe 10-15 pels games in 5 years with AD. And most were with the Hawks playing. He is stuck in NOLA. NYC he would shine, or LA. It is what it is. This isnt football.
