I never understand that either. I've never said he's better than Tatum, but I think he is comparable.

I like Tatum, but his PER, overall shooting and 3 point percentage all declined in his second year. Ingram struggled early, then got very close to Tatum's level by the end of the year.

I don't get the conventional wisdom here Tatum is a building block and Ingram is trash. The gap in their actual production is not that big and they're both very young. Ingram also had a longer physical way to go than Tatum did, so it isn't odd he's been more developmental.
