That's not why we got involved in '53 and I'm not sure you really understand the context.
Brits were just as concerned about Mosaddegh and his instabily and were even more concerned about him nationalizing oil.
I don't give 2 shits about democracy in Iran and how in God's name did you come to that conclusion?
I care about them murdering US servicemen,bombing embassies and extending their tentacles into South America.
