I agree, we are in the literal perfect location. Two big arse moats on each side of us.
But the fact that we were able to have so much industrial output that we were able to send supplies to across both oceans and split our forces and still win is pretty damn incredible.

Our ports are also passable year round (barring Alaska). We don't have to worry about winter closing them off for several months each year, but we also don't have to worry about tropical conditions making overland passage to the ports (and life in general) very difficult and can move stuff from the interior to the ports very easily. We're neither too far North nor too far South.
