These cities and their people are paying for this too. The state is not just New Orleans.

You do realize the Superdome is used for more events than just 8 home Saints games a year that people from all over the country and state come to see,

You do realize that right?

You do realize the City of New Orleans nor the Saints own the Superdome, right?

You do also realize that if the Saints were to build a new outdoor stadium and abandon the Superdome how many of these events the City and State would lose?

I realize all of that Chief. You add all of those up over the next 10 years. You compare that to the that will use the new bridge for commerce and travel (even to New Orleans or the Superdome). More people will use the bridge in one year than 10 years of use in the Superdome. Also, those events will still be held in the Superdome regardless.

And if you’re worried about the Saints moving, they won’t. Even if they did, the NFL would want a team in New Orleans market immediately. There’s no reason for this when you need a bridge.
