I guess I was basing that comment off of the fact that Duplantis just became LSU's all-time leader in at-bats (obviously different than plate appearances) and he's "only" hitting .320 for his career compared to Furniss' .371 career average which is also 4th in school history (.320 is 30 points away from being in the top 10).

Yeah I will not even try to argue that Furniss was, by far, the better player. IMO, Furniss probably has the most impressive career of any former Tiger not named Todd Walker (not inclusive of pitchers just to be clear).
