This.

I assume your SS is around 100mph. You’ll get more distance with a regular flex shaft but your dispersion will suffer at times. You could tip the regular shaft a tad to help with this.
My SS is 113-116 and I can swing a regular shaft but I have to try to cut the ball to keep from hooking the shite out of it.

FWIW, I use a Project X Smoke 6.0 in my driver. It feels like an X-flex when i swing it, but I get 15+ yards more compared to the 6.5.

That’s the general rule. You could tip a regular a little bit.
