Cable advice needed.

A buddy rebuilt a poolhouse and needs cable or a way of getting it to the building via wifi or whatever.
It's detached and never had cable before, does he have any options other than running a RG cable to it?
He's in NOLA with Cox. Any info would be appreciated, thx.

I would buy whatever length of Cat6 cable you would need to run from where your router is located inside the house extending to the pool house. Then run it inside the pool house and plug in to a WiFi range extender.

ETA: you could run it through some PVC and then bury the PVC in the ground once everything is set.

Cox has WiFi receivers now for cable If you get the panoramic WiFi

Does he have good wifi out there?
HDHomerun Prime + Amazon Firetv and renting a cablecard could work if you're very anti running the line, as suggested before.
