I really wouldn't have a problem with AA if it was not often a court-ordered decision, especially since it is well documented that AA has no better success rate than quitting cold turkey

Again, you're talking out of your arse. AA a court ordered process?
bullshite. AA isn't the money maker. Almost EVERY court ordered process includes some BS lifestyle course that costs MONEY. Now, if someone barters in AA into their own family court deal, that's case by case. But judges don't throw AA around as a mandate.

You bring up a good conversation to have. Not enough money spent by the government to help treat people properly. Without going to seek REAL professional help, it’s tough to succeed in any program. Good professional help costs money that most addicts/alcoholics don’t have.
