I’m not saying we should give companies the kitchen sink (opposite actually, I’d rather de-regulation and let the market decide) and I have my own issues with big pharma, but if big pharma and big ag were to be affected in a major way by lawsuits, like the Bayer lawsuits, anyone with a retirement account will be affected....when anyone says things like greedy/shady big corporations, I always like to remind them they are a part of the issue

Glyphpsate has been proven many times not to be a carcinogen. There are other ingredients in Roundup and knock offs, such as the wetting agents, that still may be an issue especially the overseas knock of versions. After one of those commercials one night I went deep down the rabbit hole reading several studies and reports on the whole glyphosate cancer thing.

That's fair. And at times, the lawsuits are sketchy in and of themselves. And free market based self-regulation is optimal but maybe over optimistic. Human nature and all that. I suspect some limited objective oversight is, unfortunately, necessary. We don't want the Green kooks involved in that but we equally don't want Big Pharmaceutical foxes running the FDA henhouse. IMO.:
