re: How many of you are planning to live in Louisiana your entire lives? Why?

I moved a lot when I was younger. Lived in Texas, on the west coast, midwest, and southeast. Moved to New Orleans after college because it was my favorite city and had some family here. My parents and sister also moved here after I had kids. We have all lived in great cities, but not having family nearby is a deal breaker, especially at certain points in your life.

I will encourage my kids to go to college outside of the state and then probably move to where they settle afterwards (if they want me to) to be around grandkids.
