Because some 3 stars are studs and some 5 stars are bust. Stop star gazing. Watch film and make your own assessment.

I mean I agree that sometimes a member of a team’s staff can like someone more than what they are rated by the recruiting sites, but you people “watching film” are hilarious. You aren’t watching film, you’re looking at a highlight reel showing the best 3 minutes the kid can put together. Your assessments are worthless.

Some, or most, average fans have no idea what to look for to evaluate a player. All they can do is go by what some dude on some recruiting service says. People need to realize these people on these recruiting sites are NOT the real experts in evaluating HS players. The REAL experts are those on staff at places like LSU. Those are the ones who've been doing it for years and years and know what a good player looks like.
