If it isn't blowing cold, turn it off asap.
If the fan isn't spinning or the lines are frozen outside you could do a lot more damage by continuing to run it.
It could he as simple as a bad capacitor which is a $20 part. There are several troubleshooting steps you can check yourself to narrow it down
