This is the truth. Expectations have gone through the roof. Most college age people in this day and age think an upper class, luxury lifestyle is the 'norm'. They think a huge house, a luxury car, designer clothes, exotic vacations, and a 6 figure salary are just how life is supposed to be and it makes them feel like they are 'struggling' when they can't access those things.
I think the mass media age and the internet have contributed to this effect as well.
And of course, yes, plenty of blame to the parents who raised them so poorly.
