Amazing how many viewers you could get when all you had on your tv was ABC, NBC, CBS and a couple of local channels.

Well when you consider the US Population in 1983 was 233 million which is almost 100 million more than now is still quite a feat. To go get almost half of the US Population to sit down at one particular time of the day at a time where Beta Max VCR's were just coming onto the scene, no DVR's for something that is not a live sporting event, but just a TV show is impressive.
