UT Tailgating?

Starting to make plans for September. Sure would appreciate any advice about tailgating on or near campus. Want to be in the middle of the party. We are renting a 33' RV. Where to park? Permits and passes? I could use some help. Any of you experts care to point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

I know nothing about UT campus, but in my experience, a visiting fan in a 33 ft RV is probably not going to be exactly in the center of the action.

Texas’ tailgating scene is considerably weak.
They have the new “Bevo Blvd.” which is basically just a street blocked off for people to drink on.
Scholz Garten, an old German restaurant, is another “tailgating” spot close to the stadium but it’s a massive cluster frick.

Comparatively, yes...but it has improved substantially over the last few years.
When was your last visit,?

This past season.
I live in Austin.
I’m not saying it can’t be fun, but if OP is expecting a tailgating scene resembling any form of the top SEC tailgating scenes, he/she will be sorely disappointed.

Agreed it’s tailgating in a concrete jungle but I’m sure LSU fans will find it fun taking over the town for a day

I’m interested to see how many LSU fans will be in and around the stadium for how few tickets we’ve been allotted.

I definitely do not expect sec caliber tailgating. Just trying to bring a little of that to the horns fans. Was hoping somebody here might have a suggestion or two about where and passes etc.. . If you'd prefer not to go public with your ideas please email me at fredfarkle06@yahoo.com. Thanks guys!

I heard the away fans sections are 119-125. Is that correct? Any other section that might have good Tiger crowd?
I already have hotels and flights booked and will be there with 5 other Tigers. Looking for tailgating options!
