I have three friends who have moved to CO over the past 18mos. One from Tx, one from La, and one from Ga, and they've all assured me they're never leaving and it was the best move they've ever made.
It really makes me think about it.

I enjoy CO. It's pretty expensive though. I wouldn't mind living in a place like Fort Collins.

I had an Aunt who lived in Leadville. I really like it there. It's not as trendy and overpriced like other mountain towns.

The front range is booming. Unfortunately, from what I've read, this isn't a good thing. Liberals are bringing their politics from CA. The highways to get into the mountains are a nightmare on the weekends. Those searching to live the Instagram adventure life are trashing beautiful natural areas.
Colorado Springs has been a little under the radar, but maybe not now that Denver is packed.
Others mentioned some smaller mountain towns. Those are great with the condition that good jobs are much more difficult to find.
