He had the HR Thursday, but I think his at bats were much better than we have seen from him last night. They didn't result in hits, but the at bats were much improved. He laid off the bad stuff, worked into some good counts, and made contacts. He has the raw power, that didn't just disappear. It's just a matter of getting into a count to get a pitch he can demolish, and then not missing it.


Bianco, not as much. He had one AB last night where he went 0-2 right away and then just swung at everything. Fouled off a few, but he was just hacking away.

Catchers also seem to benefit from seeing pitches all night. It does take their legs away some, but knowing the zone and seeing the zone are big helps.
