I've seen mice chew their own legs off after getting caught on a glue trap. Also the black Tomcat rat trap do not work for mice. I've smeared peanut butter on it and mice don't weight enough to trip it. They lick it clean.
As I stated previously with my experience in owning chickens. Rolling log mouse trap can catch or kill multiple mice without having to reset it like the wooden snap traps

Are those the ones that use a 5 gallon bucket with water in it and the mice climb up a wooden ramp to get to the bait that is on a cylinder that rolls and drops them in the bucket when they try to access the bait??
If so, pretty ingenious and like mentioned, no need to have to reset. Just clean out the bucket of drowned rodents and add fresh water and bait on the cylinder.
