Shreveport has problems, it needs decent leaders, too. This Army dude mayor is a certified dumbass.

When I was there last week, I noticed that Shreveport had a new mayor. Last name of Perkins, I believe. They were going to have a report about his first 100 days in office, but I didn't stay up to see it.

PS - Which reminds me. My Dad only really watches 2 things on television. The news, and also the game show Jeopardy. They had a guy from Las Vegas who was tearing it up last week. He had already won over $400 thousand dollars. I'll have to call my Dad tomorrow and see if that guy is still the current champion.

Yeah, he fooled a lot of people by waving his credentials, but he's a complete fraud as a leader. He's playing race politics and is as corrupt as the loon he replaced.

Shreveport property and casualty insurance fiasco.

quote:

Under the new plan, the city has just $50-million dollars in property and casualty insurance. That's more than 90 percent less than before. Yet the city's paying $185-thousand dollars more.

The council voted to pay the invoice for the current $50-million in coverage to prevent a lapse.

But it voted not to pay a $250-thousand dollar fee to Frost Insurance of Dallas, which brokered the plan. Frost is the same company that employs Roddrelle Sykes. He was the broker for two other plans the Perkins administration made controversial switches on. And he was politically connected to the Perkins campaign.
