Unpopular opinion, Justin Ibieta needs to be offered, he is statistically the better quarterback the Finley and if LSU does not offer him they will be making a huge mistake.he is by far the best HS quarterback I have ever seen.

That kid is just an athlete and comes from good athletic stock. His dad pitched at Tulane and his mom played & coached volleyball at LSU. I think if he camps he'll get an offer.

Thanks, Mrs. Ibieta, we'll take your suggestion into consideration.

Agreed. This is what Coach Indest (Catholic N.I. ) said about him after the playoff game

Immediately after the head coaches hugged at midfield after the final second had elapsed, all Catholic coach Brent Indest could talk about was the play of Ibieta.

“I have to go back to my third game as a coach in 1996 when we beat (former LSU and Green Bay Packers quarterback) Craig Nall and Alexandria, 71-70, to find one like this,” he said. “I gotta tell you, Ibieta, if that kid isn’t an All-State quarterback, I’ve never seen one. That was just unbelievable. He’s the best football player – and I played against (LSU commit) Derek Stingley last week, and I know Stingley has the NFL pedigree – but Ibieta, that guy is a stallion.”

I heard the kid committed to Tulane today.

Big mistake if LSU doesn’t offer this young man. I’ve seen him play and he has the potential to play beyond Saturday’s IMo.

The next big thing

He is very accurate and has good touch on his passes. Not the strongest arm, but strong enough to play in the SEC. He does a good job extending plays with his feet (and he gets a lot of pressure). Not very quick or fast, but athletic enough. Doesn't panic and keeps looking upfield when he scrambles. Has good size. The only problem I see is the level of competition. He gets away from defenders but these are not elite defenders he is playing against, at least from the highlights I have seen. A lot of players look good against weaker competition. Not saying he can't play at a high level for LSU, but it's hard to judge when a player plays against lower level competition. He'd do himself a favor if he camped at LSU so they can see him against better competition. As of right now, from what I've seen, I'd take Max. TJ and Haynes King over Justin. Just my honest opinion. I'm not saying he isn't better than them, just saying he hasn't played (or I haven't seen him play) against the level of competition these other guys have.
