It takes a team effort. Make sure you’re both present and don’t baby her. Treat her like any other kid and make sure she’s as independent as possible. It will be tempting to help her when she’s frustrated, but she more than most other kids, will have to learn self determination and self reliance.
Find programs that might support you at various stages in her life and start applying because many have long waiting times.
Special needs is one area where I think the government should actually give money to because many ot them cannot take care of themselves, as opposed to people who are perfectly fine but made bad decisions.
Make sure she feels like a normal kid, enroll her in normal kid activities. Don’t assume her limitations, let her find them and help her find her boundaries without knowledge of what you’re doing. She has to believe in herself.
