In an odd twist, bringing slaves to America was a phase of them being freed. Had they been held in Africa, they might still be enslaved

Coach, it is interesting that Lincoln wanted to send them back and did send some to Liberia I believe plus he helped create a South American country to ship them too. Almost to a black slave they refused to go. No thank you!
