FBD is my first taste of the Urban South 3DH. I was excited for this one, but as others have said it really does taste too much like some of their regular New England releases (I’m really getting Electrinity..)

It’s good, but I was expecting a more complex, punchy hop character. This is the same old sort of indiscriminate hop character. Lightly grassy, maybe floral. A kind of perfume I’m not super crazy about. If I’m really reaching, maybe some citrus and some tropics, but compared to the Gnarvana I had this weekend, I’ll take the Gnarvana every time.

As I posted yesterday, the best New England in the state right now is Miel’s Bird of Paradise Triple. And if anyone has trouble believing me, please go see for yourself!

Was curious about how you see this close to Electrinity. DNA is similar.

Data on the two beers

Electrinity
Electrinity is a DDH IPA with 4 lbs per barrel of Nelson, Denali, Citra, Mosaic and Centennial

3DH
pilsner malt and A LOT of oats! Then we dry hopped this beer three times with Nelson, Sabro and Cryo Mosaic

Having some now. Very drinkable. Not overly bitter and malty like a lot of triples tend to be. Think you will find a lot of juice bros that don't appreciate that it tries to pull off some sort of balance.
