I really don’t understand the hate aluminum boats get. I had a 18’ Nitro before my current 18’ aluminum ranger. I can’t say there are many time I say I’d rather have the glass rig.
I fish at Toledo in my boat a good bit never had a problem. You just have to be smart about where you put in and want to fish.
I don’t see why a 21’ Xpress or one of the bigger Vexus hulls wouldn’t fit your needs.

I don’t really see any hating going on. If he is buying a boat and fishing those two lakes I would think most would agree a glass boat is most comfortable. $30k can get you a pretty nice setup.
