Are you forgetting about the terminally ill who may be paralyzed due to their condition who have no way of committing suicide.

Take a guy who has the same condition as Stephen Hawking had and needs 24/7, around the clock care to simply exist. These folks have no such option, but may not want to continue living/existing like that.

Not as cut and dry as you are making it.
