Started a thread about not understanding why parents put their kids in travel ball...has a kid in travel ball. WTF? If your daughter gets a soccer scholarship this thread will come full circle. Bump if so.

This thread is not about having kids in travel ball. It’s about dropping $1000’s and spending every spare day, sacrificing family time.
Both my daughters’ travel sports, are about $600 a year each. We would get a hotel once or twice a year. If the tournament fell on a weekend I work, I don’t go. I’m not spending vacation time to see them play/dance.
We enjoy our vacations as a family.

Why do you care how other people spend their money and time?

We have spent thousands of dollars traveling and competing.

We usually spend a few extra days wherever we are going and enjoy doing stuff non competition related.

We have gone to L.A., Denver, Vegas, Phoenix, Indianapolis, Roswell, Alburquerque, Nashville, and all over Texas.....had a blast and loved every minute traveling and seeing the country.
