There was little character development in DFOP.
It was hot garbage.

The X-Men are, as Deadpool put it are “a tired civil right allegory from the 60s”.

The team is literally in place because they share a gene(or a Jean) not ideals. Identity politics.

The Avengers have always been big brother (in universe)and will remain big brother.

The most interesting mutants, except Scott, usually wind up on better teams.

SW, Quicksilver, Logan, and Hank- Avengers
Xavier and Hank-Illuminati
Storm joined the F4.

And so on.
